PromptCat is operated by J&S Technology Services LLC ("J&S," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use PromptCat (the "Service").

By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

We collect information in three categories:

• Account information. Name, email, password (hashed), and other details you provide when you sign up or update your profile.
• Workspace content. Messages, files, agent configurations, memories, plans, calendar entries, integration credentials, and any other content you or your agents submit to the Service.
• Usage and device data. Log data, IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, features used, timestamps, and similar telemetry collected automatically as you interact with the Service.

You can choose not to provide certain information, but doing so may limit your ability to use parts of the Service.

We use information to:

• Provide, maintain, and operate the Service.
• Authenticate accounts and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Generate AI agent responses, summaries, plans, and other features you request.
• Diagnose technical issues, monitor performance, and improve reliability.
• Communicate with you about the Service, billing, and policy updates.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not use your workspace content to train foundation models.

PromptCat agents call third-party AI model providers — including Anthropic and OpenAI — to generate responses. When an agent runs, the relevant portions of your workspace content (such as the conversation history, agent instructions, and tool results needed for that turn) are transmitted to those providers under their respective enterprise data protection terms.

We rely on providers that contractually commit not to train their models on data submitted via their API. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose workspace content to AI providers for purposes beyond serving your requests.

You should treat AI outputs as drafts. They may be inaccurate or contain fabrications, and any decisions you make based on them are your responsibility.

We share information only as needed:

• Service providers. Vendors who help us run the Service, such as cloud hosting, model providers, email delivery, and analytics — under contracts that limit how they may use the data.
• Integrations you authorize. When you connect a third-party tool (e.g., calendar, search, communications), we exchange data with that tool as needed to fulfill your requests.
• Legal & safety. When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of J&S, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality protections.

We do not sell your personal information.

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Workspace content is retained until you delete it or close your account. After account closure, we may retain limited data as required for legal, security, or tax purposes, then delete or anonymize it.

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain uses. Residents of the EEA, UK, and certain U.S. states (including California) may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws.

You can exercise most rights directly from your workspace settings — for example, exporting or deleting content, or closing your account. For other requests, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the time required by law.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Service, and understand how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect parts of the Service that depend on them (such as authentication).

PromptCat is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We are based in the United States, and the Service is hosted there. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required by law.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice — by updating the "Last updated" date above or by sending you a notice in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
